The German artist Mi Kyung Lee with Korean roots, *1967, first studied painting in Seoul at Ewha Womans University. In 1990 she came to Germany because she was attracted by painters such as Gerhard Richter and Anselm Kiefer. She studied fine arts at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and Münster (until 2000) – among others as a master student of Prof. Udo Scheel as well as with Prof. Ulrich Erben. She lives and works in Berlin. Her paintings can be seen in several solo and group exhibitions, nationally and internationally.
